About Me

Hello, my name is Jason. I graduated with a bachelors in computer science in Spring 2024.

When I'm not coding, I enjoy a wide range of hobbies. Playing tennis & volleyball, doing calisthenics & weightlifting, and spending time with friends & family are some of my favorite past times. I'm always eager to take part in competitve and collaborative sports.

These hobbies translate into my coding. I love to learn new technologies and work collaboratively alongside like-minded individuals. Creating meaningful software and solving complex problems whilst doing so excites me and is how I work my best.

I am open to new opportunities. Feel free to shoot me a message if you want to talk. Thanks for checking out my porfolio!

Mobile Developer - Booz Allen Hamilton

Oct 2024 - Present
McLean, VA

I currently work as a mobile developer on the Sit(x) team at Booz Allen Hamilton. Sit(x) is a situational awareness application made for first responders. It assists users with their field operations through a live map view featuring location updates, markers, messaging, drawings, and more. I maintain the Sit(x) mobile app where I own the full development lifecycle, from brainstorming features and designing solutions to implementing code, testing, and debugging. Using Flutter, I have contributed thousands of lines of production code and implemented over 20 features, UI improvements, and bug fixes including a language localization system, map drawing tools, geofence functionality, a redesigned control panel, and data persistence using Hive database. With every task, I make critical design and architecture decisions that ensure the app remains modern, efficient, and user-friendly. I consistently go beyond initial requirements by putting myself in the users' perspective to deliver features that exceed expectations.

MyCookBook is a recipe finder / meal plan designer full stack application. It's target audience is beginner cooks and college students who don't have much time or money. This app aims to help its users learn recipes and build a meal plan that fit their fitness, nutrient, and lifestyle needs. It does so seamlessly with its aesthetic and minimalistic design. Users can search recipes, add and delete recipes from their library, and organize recipes by price and nutrition. This project is still in its early stages with updates being actively made.

BookWorm is a book organizer app I collaborated with 3 group members to create. Users can use it to record and organize their thoughts on books they've read or are reading. Taking notes, searching unknown words, and adding books to a personalized library are among the many functionalities BookWorm has to offer.
